Résumé:
This talk consists of two moments:
In the first one, we will address part of the research results obtained by the speaker during his doctoral thesis, covering works on (analysis and control of) PDEs, (estimation of cases of) COVID-19, (location of roots of) polynomials, and numerical simulations.
In the second moment, the intention is to generate a discussion with the participants, covering some of the questions (philosophical and/or ethical) that have arisen or motivated the daily work of the speaker in the course of each of the investigations mentioned above, such as: what kind of math do we do? what kind of math do we want to do? where and for whom do we publish?
